HiperBarrio is a laboratory of learning and literacy for digital and social inclusion that takes place in the city of Medell\u00edn and in some municipalities of Antioquia. It takes place in public libraries, since its purpose is to create communities of learning and self-publishing on the web.<\/strong> This group seeks to promote open informal spaces for learning that will create knowledge through collaborative processes.<\/p>\n It is part of the network Rising<\/a>Voices<\/a>,<\/em> one of 35 groups deployed around the world following the proposal of Global<\/a>Voices<\/a>On<\/a>Line<\/a>, which not only aims to break the monopoly of the flow of information, but the hegemony of English on the Internet. It has won the “Best Web Community Media” (2010), the first Community Journalism Contest of Medell\u00edn, in addition to the Golden Nica Award (2009) in the Digital Communities category of Festival Prix Ars Electr\u00f3nica<\/a>.<\/p>\n HiperBarrio\u2019s proposal which has the objective of adding to collective learning experiences and content production generated from the everyday life of ordinary people, develope on the premises of the Museum of Antioquia and its immediate surroundings.<\/strong> This work be carry out by means of creative workshops of creative micro-narratives, mapping exercises, video production and game programming. From this space for experimentation, it will also involve activities to reflect, discuss, edit, share and publish ideas on the web, as well as views, short texts, pictures and videos of personal experiences.<\/p>\n The mode of work will be divided into 2 parts. One, a series of workshops (to be offered between September and November 2011) on learning processes established by a fixed group of 20 people, this will take place in three public libraries in the city, especially those in outlying neighborhoods. Two, workshops are offered during 15 days, and for these collaborative learning models will be constructed based on the idea of “Learning by Doing.”<\/p>\n This group\u2019s proposal for MDE11 has the object of adding to the experience of what other people and groups are doing.\u00a0 Camilo Cantor<\/a>, Agencia Pinocho<\/a>, SugarLabs Colombia<\/a> y Un\/Loquer <\/a>participate in the laboratory.
