Each of the members of <strong>Frente 3 de Febrero<\/strong> (Spanish translation) comes from different fields of knowledge. They focus their work on research and artistic intervention related to racism in Brazilian society, creating new forms of reading and contextualizing the fragmented information produced by the mass media.<\/p>\n<p><strong>New forms of protest on the subject of racial issues are the basis of artistic interventions in the group,<\/strong> a medium that allows them to regain the artistic legacy of generations that thought of ways to interact with urban space, the historical struggle and resistance of Afro-Brazilian culture.<\/p>\n<p>Their project aims to establish a forum for exchange, for experiencing and reflecting on the past and future of Latin American societies. We will construct <strong>a space based on the virtual connection between experiences of military or police occupation of &#8220;favelas&#8221; in Haiti, Rio de Janeiro and Medellin.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To reflect on these issues, during MDE11, Frente 3 de Febrero 3 proposes obtaining a better understanding of the experience of Medellin from interviews, exchanges and discussions. Based on these interactions, they will invite groups and individuals in the city to a public discussion with the aim of discussing and proposing urban interventions in public space.
