{"id":24,"date":"2011-06-30T21:23:33","date_gmt":"2011-07-01T02:23:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/190.156.230.47:8080\/?page_id=24"},"modified":"2011-06-30T21:23:33","modified_gmt":"2011-07-01T02:23:33","slug":"antecedentes","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/mde.org.co\/mde11\/en\/que-es\/antecedentes\/","title":{"rendered":"MDE07"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p>The theme of the previous event, <strong>Encuentro Internacional Medell\u00edn 07,<\/strong> was \u201cContemporary Art Practices: Spaces of Hospitality\u201d; from January to June 2007, contemporary art from all over the world was shown in museums, parks, streets and public spaces throughout Medell\u00edn.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MDE07 promoted different notions of space in order to spark the circulation of people, art projects and varying cultural ideas.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In Medell\u00edn, a city that has experienced painful, deep-seated changes, hospitality was understood as the possibility of re-establishing social bonds by noting how each of us is someone else\u2019s \u201cother\u201d.
